Download Douyin Videos Without the Watermark
Paste link. Get the Douyin video.
Douyin is where TikTok began. Same parent company, same short-video DNA, but a completely separate app with its own trends, creators, and viral hits you'll never see on TikTok. The problem: Most "TikTok downloader" sites don't handle Douyin at all — paste a Douyin link and nothing happens.
GoTikSave was built Douyin-first. The Douyin tab sits right next to the TikTok tab, the parser understands Douyin's link formats, and the whole flow usually takes seconds. Drop a Douyin share link in the box and the tool handles the rest — no watermark, no account, no region tricks.
Open TikTok or Douyin → Share → Copy Link.
Paste the link into the box and hit Download.
Save HD without watermark, SD, or MP3 audio only.

Paste a Douyin link — that's the entire setup
There is no account step, no region step, no "connect your Douyin" step. The tool needs exactly one thing from you: the share link.
1. Copy it from the Douyin app.
Open the video, tap Share, choose Copy Link. What lands on your clipboard might be a clean URL (v.douyin.com/…) or a block of Chinese text with a URL buried inside it. Both work. Paste the whole thing.
2. Make sure the Douyin tab is selected.
It's the default tab on this page. If you pasted on the TikTok tab by accident, the tool usually detects the platform anyway.
3. Download.
Pick "Download MP4 (No Watermark)" in full source quality, or "Download MP3 Audio" for the soundtrack.
Douyin link formats, decoded
Douyin links are messier than TikTok's, and understanding the three shapes saves confusion:
| What you copied | What it is | What to do |
|---|---|---|
douyin.com/video/7234… |
Full desktop URL | Paste as-is |
v.douyin.com/AbC12De/ |
Short share link | Paste as-is; we follow the redirect |
| A paragraph of Chinese text containing a link | Douyin's share-text format | Paste the entire block; we extract the URL |
The short link is the interesting one. v.douyin.com/… doesn't point at a video directly — it's a redirect service. When opened, Douyin's servers bounce it through one or two hops before landing on the real video page. Browsers outside China often die somewhere in that chain, showing a blank page or a region notice. That's a browser problem, not a link problem: the redirect chain needs cookies and region headers your foreign browser doesn't have. Our fetcher resolves the chain server-side, following each hop until it reaches the video's data, so the link works here even when it won't open in your browser. This is also why you should never "test" a Douyin link by opening it — copy it from inside the app and paste it here instead.
The share-text format confuses everyone the first time. Douyin's Share → Copy Link sometimes copies a promotional sentence plus the URL, all in Chinese. People assume they copied the wrong thing and try again. You didn't. Paste the whole block; the parser pulls out the v.douyin.com/… or douyin.com/… part and ignores the rest.
Douyin's numeric IDs: why the links look alien
TikTok links contain a readable username: tiktok.com/@someone/video/…. Douyin links don't. A full Douyin URL looks like douyin.com/video/7234567890123456789 — a 19-digit number with no human-readable handle anywhere. That number is the video's permanent ID in Douyin's database, and it's the only identifier the platform needs.
This design difference has one practical consequence for downloading: you can never guess or reconstruct a Douyin link. With TikTok you might remember the creator's @handle; with Douyin, the numeric ID is meaningless to humans, which makes the share link the only way in. Save it when you see it — there's no search trick that recovers a Douyin video ID from memory. The upside is that the ID never changes: unlike usernames, which creators can rename, a video's numeric ID is fixed for life, so old links keep working years later.
Forwarded links can quietly change meaning
A Douyin link forwarded through two or three people can look identical to a public one while pointing at something that was never public. Each forward re-wraps the share, and if the original post was friends-only or later restricted, the text you receive still contains a perfectly formed v.douyin.com/… link — it just resolves to nothing fetchable.
The tell is consistency. A network blip fails intermittently; a non-public video fails the same way every time, on every tool, no matter how fresh the copy. If you've re-copied the link straight from the original message and it still fails identically twice, it's the video's visibility, not your link-handling. Ask the sender whether the post was public to begin with — forwarded links don't carry that information.
Why no login, no VPN, and no Chinese phone number are needed
This surprises people, so here's why: to fetch a public video, the tool only needs the video's ID, which is embedded in the share link. It never logs into Douyin, never pretends to be a Chinese user, and never touches the parts of Douyin that are region-locked (the website, the feed, the comments). The video file itself sits on a CDN that serves anyone who asks with the right ID.
That boundary is also the limit. Anything that genuinely requires an account — private videos, friends-only posts, age-gated content — is unreachable, and the tool tells you so with a clear error instead of hanging. What you get: quality and formats
| Format | Quality | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| MP4 video | Full source quality, no watermark | The video as published by the creator |
| MP3 audio | Source quality | The soundtrack, when the source provides one |
Douyin's compression pipeline is the same family as TikTok's. We fetch the source file rather than a re-compressed copy, and we never upscale: if the original is 720p, the download is 720p. For the watermark-free specifics, there's why TikTok videos have watermark — Douyin stamps its downloads the same way.

Frequently asked questions
My copied Douyin "link" is a paragraph of Chinese text — did I copy the wrong thing?
No, that's normal. Douyin's Share → Copy Link often copies a promotional sentence with the URL embedded in it. Paste the entire block into the box. The parser extracts the v.douyin.com/… or douyin.com/… URL and ignores the surrounding text.
Why do some Douyin videos take longer to process than TikTok ones?
The short-link redirect chain. A v.douyin.com link has to be resolved through one or two server hops before the tool even learns which video you mean, and Douyin's redirect servers occasionally throttle foreign requests. Full douyin.com/video/… links skip that dance and usually resolve faster. Either way, it usually resolves in seconds; if it takes over a minute, something else is wrong.
Can I paste a profile link to download every video from a Douyin creator?
No. The tool fetches one video per link — it doesn't crawl profiles or channels. Bulk-downloading a creator's entire catalog isn't something we offer, partly for technical reasons and partly because mass-scraping someone's work crosses from personal downloading into territory we're not comfortable enabling.
What if a Douyin video requires login to watch in a browser — can the tool still fetch it?
Usually yes, as long as the video itself is public. The login wall you're hitting is on Douyin's website, which region-blocks foreign visitors. The tool doesn't use the website at all — it resolves the share link directly to the video's data. If the video is genuinely account-restricted (private, friends-only), it fails with a clear error.
Will this work for Xiaohongshu or Kuaishou links too?
No. Those are entirely different platforms with different link structures and APIs. This tool handles TikTok and Douyin only. Paste a Xiaohongshu link and you'll get an "unsupported link" message, not a broken download.
Why did I get 720p from a video that looks sharper inside the Douyin app?
The app sometimes plays an enhanced preview while the stored source file is 720p — or the creator uploaded in 720p and the app's player upscales on the fly. We fetch the stored source file as-is and never upscale, so the download reflects the actual file, not the player's rendering. If you want the mechanics, why TikTok videos have watermark covers how source files differ from what you see.
